21 weeks!

Over half way there! I can't wait to meet our little munchkin! I wonder who he is going to look like?! Who's personality is he going to have?! So excited!

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Everything is looking good. We are measuring at 21 weeks and little waffle's heart rate is between 140 and 145. Our due date is July 27th. This is Paul's sister, Melissa's, birthday, so he may give her a special birthday present!

I have been feeling fantastic! No real updates as far as I go. Baby has been moving so much. Mostly in the morning when I first wake up and at night when I am laying in bed. Paul gets to feel him move, too! He really likes to hang out on the left side of my belly. I wonder if he will stay that way the rest of the pregnancy?! I will be one of those women with lopsided bellies :)

We have begun to look for child care. There are so many options out there! We would really like to keep him in an in-home day care for the first few years, so we've been asking friends and neighbors for recommendations and searching the web for the BEST option!

Other than that, our awesome friends and family are getting the ball rolling on shower planning.  We have been given so much baby stuff from our older siblings, that we are going to have to go through everything before we register.  So, I imagine that will be this weekend's task!  As a young child, you think it's the pits being the youngest, but as an adult, it's fantastic! We have been blessed with so many hand-me-downs! We have the most generous families!

Last night I met Paul's cousin, Jen, for the first time. She was in town from New York visiting some friends who were recently relocated to the Austin area. Jenny and CJ came over and we had Rudy's BBQ.  It was really wonderful to have some of Paul's New York family here with us in Texas!  We hope to see some more soon! :)
Now, I will leave you with this updated belly picture!

Eating babies..

I forgot to add in my last post one of the funniest things I have heard!
My niece, Camden (who is in the pictures of Paul blowing out his bday cake), was at her grandma's house a few weeks ago. She told her grandma, "Aunt Jodi has a baby in her tummy... She ate it!"

I couldn't stop laughing when my sister told me this story! I love the logic of a 2 year old.. how else would a baby get in Aunt Jodi's tummy?!

I love that little girl:)
